SWEDISH

Using a range of techniques such as effleurage, petrissage, friction and tapotement, this type of massage can have many benefits both physiologically and mentally.  Benefits include reduction in muscle spasm and anxiety, improved muscle tone and quality of sleep. It can strengthen the immune system amongst other physiological systems of the body and it can also provide a feeling of well-being and a much needed energy boost.

DEEP TISSUE

This targeted treatment focuses on the deeper muscle layers and connective tissue using slower strokes, targeted Swedish and myofascial stripping.

REMEDIAL

Remedial Massage is perfect for people with specific injuries, strain injuries, tension, lack of range of movement. During the session you will have a full consultation, range of movement testing (before and after) and a catered treatment.  Techniques used include targeted Swedish, myofascial stripping, trigger point therapy, PNF stretching.

HOT AND COLD STONES

Combines the benefits of thermotherapy (heat application) and hydrotherapy (cold stones) with massage strokes, using stones to create a deep, relaxing and healing treatment.
Please note hot and cold stones are not advised for those with high blood pressure, pregnancy, or on blood thinners. Please contact to discuss prior to booking.

SPORTS

Similar to remedial, sports massage uses a combination of Swedish and remedial techniques in the treatment of injuries. Sports massage has a key role to play in preparation, recovery and injury prevention and can help restore normal muscular function reduced by muscle spasm. Techniques include compressive effleurage, cross fibre friction, trigger point therapy and tapotement. Can be used pre or post event to aid training, rehabilitation and performance.
